Pioneer Day

I am so grateful for the friends I have! I have been so blessed to be surrounded by people who care about me, make me laugh, and make me want to be a better person. Last night a bunch of us went up to Salt Lake to camp out for the Pioneer Day parade. Three of my girls from dental hygiene school and my roommate met some friends up there. We went to dinner at Spaghetti Factory at trolley square and then we slept on the streets of main street. We had so much fun just playing games all night and laughing. The parade was really good. Pioneer day is a state holiday in Utah. It is apparently a big deal. The streets were packed last night with families camping out and saving spots.
We met my friend David up there. He just recently got divorced about a month ago and it amazes me how people around me are in such tough situations and trials in life, yet they continue to stay faithful and optimisitc. It makes me really want to reevaluate my life and think about what is truly important. I am so grateful for examples in my life!
