Saturday morning I met my friend Will at his house and we went out out to lunch and sailing on the patomic river. I had never been before so it was exciting to try something new. He volunteers at a sailing camp thing for kids and goes about 3 times a week. It was so fun! That night I met some other people from his ward and we all went to a party for some girl who was moving to hawaii. There were so cute guys at that party. One of them looked just like "ed", the winner of this season's bachelorette show. He literlaly could have been his twin. It seems like there are so many connections in the mormon world. I met this guy named dre whose brother is married to tanya layton. I think 6 people asked me that night if i was a "Lansing". I have heard all growing up that I look just like Lindsay Lansing but I haven't seen her in so long. Its funny. A compliment to me for sure! Anyway this guy was fine! He is african american and in his 2nd year of law school at byu provo. That is very attractive to me. He speaks spanish, french, and Samoan! We made out little connection and chatted it up at the party then I told will to invite him over to his house to watch a movie. And so he did....he came. And I was happy :-) We watched planet earth for like 2 hours and just talked. Very very nice, polite, conciderate, and educated young man! We will hang out in provo for sure!
It is true how the people in D.C. seem to be different from those in Provo. They all seemed to be very educated, motivated, goal and career oriented, and not concerned about marriage in the least bit! ! Will told me that people never ever talk about it or stress about it and they are a much older crowd. They all seemed to be heading to different countries in the next couple of weeks for grad school, to get their PhD, or for an internship. Kind of intimadating but at the same time refreshing. I drove back home Sunday morning, stopped by Nordstroms rack and got some stuff, then later went to see "A Perfect Getaway" with Kam and Dad. We had smoothies at arby's then went to the movie. The movie got me excited for my hike on the Na Pali coast but at the same time gave me 2nd thoughts about hitch hiking. It had a really good plot and made me think alot afterwards. Lesson learned...be careful who you trust! And I seem to trust anyone and everyone! I am sure glad mom didn't see it because she would have freaked out and worried non stop about me while I was gone. 5 days till paradise! Aloha baby!!! I can't wait!
